In another thread, Martin advised to use 3-slot front hexes and 4-slot rears when running the XRAY wheels on carpet/turf.

I've noticed that most of the team's EOS setups run 2-slot front / 3-slot rear.

Is this because the EOS wheels (Schumacher) have a greater offset than the XRAY wheels, or for some other reason?

I read that IFMAR has standardized wheel offsets for 1/10 4WD offroad; does the XRAY wheel conform to this standard (11mm rear / 2mm front measured from outside wheel face to inside hex face)?

It´s depent of what tires/wheels you use.

For example when i use front Schumacher wheels on carpet i run 2 slots.
When i use Xray wheels and ProLine Holeshot then i use minus offset because tire is much wider then wheel.

I think best way is to put your car on wheels with tires and measure maximum width of car.
Then chose offset you need. Every step of offset is 0,75mm

Thanks, this is useful information. But what overall width are you trying to achieve? 250mm? Less? Same front/rear, or different?

I think limit is 250 mm. Most of time i try to run maximum because it make car more stable.
