I was wondering what motor and battery you whould need to get about the same preformance out of a M18t as a NT18t.

That hard to say. The NT18T is a different beast. If your asking about speed, probably a mild brushless modified and decent battery pack would be in the same ballpark? Say 5400kv and above.

Well in that case, a nitro engine provides more torque at higher rpms, while a electric motor gives most of its torque to initiate movement. A electric truck in other words, would be more likely to wheelie from a stand still, while a nitro would be able to powerhouse itself up steep inclines at fast speeds.

So in this regard, they will always act different.

I have a small figure 8 track in my yard. I have been playing with my truck for a long while and the only problem I am having as of lately is that my motor is getting real hot. I have the stock set up right now and running on a 9t pinion on a reedy mod motor, 18 turn I believe (Blue Lable).
