Well, I decided to start a price prediction thread.
*** NOTE ***
These are only comsumer predictions for the XRay NT18 and DO NOT reflect the actual pricing. XRay will soon announce actual pricing.

Now that that is out of the way. Here's my prediction:

$249.99 USD for the kit

Why? I am basing it off the $99.99 price for the M18 and the price for 1/10 scale RTR Nitro kits at $349.99. I think $250 is in the middle and is a good price for this kit.

$150, because the m18 kit is going for 75-100 and a little motor like that would probabaly be around 40-50 dollars?

I dont know I'm guessing with a little optimisim!

I agree, the chassis can't be much different than the M18 and those little .049 plane (or whatever size) motors are typically about $40. So, I think anything over $150 for just the kit is a little unreasonable.

I have a good guess its going to be about £140 (approx $185), because its good quality, and quality isnt too cheap (but it doesnt matter because its XRAY.....I love XRAY are brill!!) but its not too expensive either....my opinion is that it is a reasonable price 8)

I would be willing to bet the chassis is aluminum and not plastic.

There is a small unknown detail to predict the price.

Does it need a starter box ?????

Just hope it doesn't have a pullstart.. i would rather have it set up like the fusion to use a power screw driver.. if it comes with a string to wrap around the crank i will cry lmao

Personally if this needs a starter box I am going to be very dissapointed. They really need the drill type starter or some type of electric starter. If you need a starter box, this should not cost any more than $149.00. NOt a penny more. I just can't see myself paying well over $300 bucks to get this car running.

My recomendations is this (Team XRay please read), come out with this car ready to run and toss in a screw driver starter. Set the price for the complete kit at $250.

If they do this, most of use will just need to replace the reciever and whalla. We can use our own nice radios. If not look at how this car will quickly become over priced.

Micro reciever $50 - $80
Micro servo - $45 - $60
Micro starter box - $75 - $80
Kit $149 - $199
Gas - $21 - $35
Battery and charger for bump box - $25 - $30
Paint - $10 - $15
Future upgrade to Screw Driver starter - $65

Bottom line, this is well over $300 bucks. I am not sure about you guys, but this will sit on the shelf for that price. Thats if you buy the cheap stuff needed.

Lets face it Xray/Mario/distrutors don't have the balls to tell us what the status is on a product that we want to buy it doesn't matter what the price is. It has to hit the shelf first.

There is a reason it hasn't reached us. All we're asking for is price and dates on when we can get our hands on it. Keep ignoring us and don't give us the product updates we ask for and you can kiss you customer base good bye!

It takes us the consumer to keep you employed. Want less people buying your product keep doing what your doing your doing a fine job of losing customers.

You want us the people to buy your product give us some updates and some pricing. It's that simple.

Want my business? Your not doing a real good job of getting any of my hard earned $$$ and that's what it's all about $$$.

Have a Great Day!

im sure yur posts will get deleted but was worth said.. we have the price quoatation. its just the damn release date. and yes u will need a starter box that already been said etc.. for the price you can a 10th scale yes. but the fact that this is a micro 1/18th its special in that sense. i want it bad. but all this waiting with no solid leads kills me.. x-mas was suposed to be time now its almost feburary and still in dark. we seen some dealers in outside us countries with the demos but thats all...

WOW we have a something on the main page but still no response to why the missed their shipping date so badly. The starter box is still forth coming without any price or delivery date. I would still like to know what the huge delay was about. Makes me wonder how XRay will do in supporting this car.

http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/news/n ... d88d514f27

And just for the record I'll still buy this car, but the 5 other friends of mine have lost interest in owning one due to the long delay and no word from XRay.

If they just would've keep their custumer base notified they would not have lost those 5 sales. Makes me wonder how many other sales they have lost.

Have a Great Day!

Makes ya think that they were using us as a marketing tool. they did this on the MT as well so nothing to new. but saying it will be out before or BY x-mas to get peoples hopes up was kinda wrong specially the ones holding out for them as x-mas gifts. allthought im sure it will be a great car i will still buy one. but i def wont live off xrays words in the future when they say something is being released on such and such date.. ill just wait when i actually see it. this was agrivating but at this point it doesnt agrivate me because i'll believe it when i see it

Hard earned? DUDE?! Who you foolin? Haha...guess who!

But on a more serious note:

Yeah XRAY, I agree....wtf? Give us a price. I know that you know what you are going to charge me. Let me know already. It would have been wise to let RC Car Action include an estimated price in their "First Look" column a few months back. The car got a ton of coverage there, everybody and their brother read that article...
