hi guys. I'm currently building my NT1 2016

could you recommend what steering & throttle servos specifications do I need? Low profile?

Checked the manual but it doesn't say.

Do I need regular o low profile servos?

For Steering --> do I need more Torque?

For Throttle --> do I need more Speed?

No, no special need for low profile but they look nicer.

Be wise, use the same servo for throttle and steer so you can buy a 3rd as spare.

Speed? 0.1 sec over 60 degrees or faster
Torque? 8kg or more

Thanks! I'm interested in this Savox 1251
Speed @ 6.0V: .09
Torque @ 6.0V: 125 oz-in / 9.0 kg-cm
Type: Low Profile
Gear: Metal
Have been asking before purchase just to be 100% sure. And also, I wasn't sure that I want to spend $150+ on each servo

It is a more used servo but....... it is 6v, the use of a LiPo battery pack can only be done with a high power UBEC or otherwise a LiFePo or the good old NiMh pack.

To be honest, skip the option for LiPo.

Currently using th Savox 1251 for throttle application on my 2015 NT1. I'm using the Futaba 3PKS-R radio system with an xceed 7.4 lipo receiver pack with no issues at all. It's been 2yrs and no issues at all.

That it works for you does not say it works for everyone. Still the electronics is rated for 6v and the 8.4v start voltage of a LiPo can be too much. It remains a risk to burn your servo's.
