I have a question: How were the tires mounted? They are TC tires correct?

yes, TC tires, we use the local made adapters for rear axel and a front knuckle set for F103GT...

My next questions is why? Why use TC tires?

we have/had several reasons:
- the same condition for all teams,
- cheaper solution (you needn't compare several types of tires)
- If you compare a persitence of foam and rubber tires for endurance then you spend 4-5 sets of the rubber tires compared to 8-12 sets of form tires = cheaper solution
- rain... we usualy race on outdoor track and the rubber tires are better for handling on wet ashalt than foams
- historical context => we started with the endurance races 10 or 11 years ago and we raced with Tamiya F103 (LM) chassis. The initial idea was to race with cheap chassis (high number of chassis abrod) and enjoy races. There were only 2 types of tires provided by Tamiya (rubber A&B) - the foam tires were forbidden by Tamiya (cheating with tires of different producers on a big and local tamiya cups). At the end of the F103 era we had to do decision about future of this racing category. We decided to switch to F103GT (due to easy conversion from F103/LM chassis). Maybe you know, the F103GT uses TC tires.
- We prefer the equal conditions for teams more than unreasonable costs in this area.

I know the F103GT, I use to have one. It was fun racing but didn't catch on in my area.

So these rules are for the endruo only then? Or do you run club races as well with the TC tires?

only three events a year (12h in Blansko, 24h in Celakovice - both on asphalt and 24hrs in Rtyne - the carpet race). These events are independent but in general, there are very similar rules (TC tires).
