Hello Martin,

my T4 arrived today and so it would be nice if you could tell the maximum possible servo dimension from the lower edge of servos' mounting fins to the level of servos' top deck. Are 12mm still ok for having .5mm of space left? I'm asking because I need to order a new servo.

PS: This car really is an eyecatcher. :-)

Thanks,
Stefan

It should be become even more a eyecathcher when they make all alu parts orange
instead off black what make things old fashioned.

Any info yet from anyone on how setups for the T4 differ from the T3'12 on the same track?

Thanks

My step was from T3R to T4 (not ran it yet) so I'm afraid that I can't help you here.

A question for the general forum- will parts for the older T3'12 be available at the Xray tent in ETS races?

We use softer shock oil and more uptravel in the front suspension to get more chassis roll as the lower CoG decreases roll a bit.

What rough weight of oil are we talking about, 300-350cSt?

And has front droop increased to 4 etc?

Thanks

Hi, just a few questions about the T4 compared to the T3 12........

+ Appart from being lower are the the shock positions on the tower the same as the T3 12?

+ Are the body posts all in the same position as the T3 12 so that current bodyshells can be used?

+ The T4 specs say that the roll center clamps are 2mm lower. Does that mean you need to run an additional 2mm shim on the clamps to get the same roll center position as on the T3 12?

With 3 hole pistons, 250-300 shock oil. With 4 hole pistons 350-450 shock oil.

Front droop between 5 and 5.6 usually!

Hi i would also kindly like to ask if what parts of the t3 2012 are compatible with the t4. I just ordered 1 and normally based on the t3 the outdrives and the belts are the ones that give out first.

Hi,

which height of the servo from the LOWER edge of its mounts to the "STICKER-LEVEL" must not be overgone on the T4 to avoid touching the steering system?

Indeed, the presentation is very nice and precise ... simply awesome! Big compliment to your web/media designer(s)!

Thanks,
Stefan

Thanks a lot. To make all the photos and the entire presentation took a crazy amount of work for 5 people for several weeks and the weekend spent in work till 5AM to launch everything on time for the XRAY Asia Challenge official release. We hope everyone enjoyes the detailed presentation.

Hi Mario. Im very impressed with the presentation and how you did tons of research and hours to improve the t4. I ordered one and really looking forward to driving it. :)

Can someone confirm if the basic carpet setup is correct were it tells you to run your front diff in the up position and the rear diff in the down position.

Hello, just to inform you that after my t3 010 & 011, I'm a new owner of T4

So, looking your presentation and having a knowledge in Italy of your big job making & drawing the new t4, my feedback is: fantastic!

I will follow too much this topic :D

About the old springs, have you take in consideration for assembly the oldone on the new shock?
Thanks a lot.

Even if you try to get the same rollcenter on the T4 like on the T3'12, you will have different roll.

The new T4 is a FANTASTIC bit of kit but I was wondering is there any infomation/advice out for the new shocks like to what's in the T3 set up book (holes to thinner/thicker oil) as we cant really go by the T2 & T3 set up books as they use the 1 to 4 hole shock inserts & the T4 uses the new system 3 holes 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 4 holes 1.0, 1.1, 1.2

So some help will be most welcome

p.s in the T4 manual it has the wrong numbers for the shock inserts as it says 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 but not 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2 as comes in the kit

Best Regards Colin

Hi Colin,

great to hear you like the car.

Thanks for letting us know about the mistake, we will fix it.

I use standard 4 holes 1.1 pistons as we recommend in the kit. This is the best compromise of steering and traction. Well in 99% we do not change pistons, only oil. For low traction we recommend 350 shock oil. When the traction increases, you put harder oil. But for example at the ETS last weekend was super high traction and we stayed with the kit shock setting and car was working well. But there is easy recognition when you need harder oil. When you start your run and you make good lap times and in the second half of the run, your car slows down as it is more difficult to drive and start to stop in the corners, than you over-heat the tires and you need harder oil. When you are slower at the beginning because you have not enough traction and you get faster later on, you need softer oil. But in both cases you do not need to change pistons.

Martin

i'm taking it that the 1.0 allows A smaller amount of oil to flow through it & the 1.2 allows the oil to flow more freely

Our carpet which is low traction to med at best & i'm using sorex 28's & using the std set up sheet for carpet & car was a little tail happy
so i was wondering which way you! would go oil & hole wise as i have loads of WT but no CST oil

Best Regards Colin

P.S Thank you for your reply
