Heard a man tell me that x-rays will be going away soon, and then I also saw an article about AI and future technology eventually replacing some jobs in the future. https://movieseriesworld.com/http://www.movieseriesworld.com/forums/index.php

My question is, will being an x-ray technologist be viable for the next 50 or so years? I want the opinion of redditors, not google.

Second question: with the influx recently of so many new programs for x ray techs and many more incoming students, is there enough job opportunity for most of us in California?

I got denied a seat into the asrt program to become a rad tech in California. Really trying to get my life back together, even to the point that I’m considering taking a medical assistant 8 month program just to boost my resume to get into asrt program. I’m about to be all in... but I just want your opinion on this. I just feel like many programs are being created and as a result there are many more x ray techs, yet there are only so many jobs out there right now. Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.
