Will the LIPO balancing weights still work with the new chassis if the movement of the motor and electrics is still insuficient to balance the car?

Also, will there be new alu steering blocks as direct replacement of the plastic ones, as I find these invaluable indoors?

#309860 LiPO balancing weights will not work with the new T3.

My T3 is perfectly balanced without using any weights.

So no need for the LIPO balancing weights.

Which cells are you running?

I use GM 35C/5000 mAh Lipos. Weight: 285g.
I have the personal transponder (15g) on the right side in front of the battery.

Yes, I suspected that might be the case. Certainly the new range of Lipo's are considerably heavier than the previous family - so for example my 3600 Trakpower is only 213g, so placing an extra 70g on the right side would make a big difference in balancing.

Guess I might need to stick with my T2R pro for now then, at least until I need new cells

You will always need some etra weight with those light batteries...

The T3 has all the electronics more to the right side, including the motor. This helps a lot with the balance. With my car the balance is very similar to that of a 009 with the lipo balancing chassis weights.

You will be the first person with a smile on your face when your batteries will have to be replaced...

Do you have a photo of your layout at that weight?

lol, BTW there is an error in the 1.9 ratio chart for the 48p gears, the 17t pinion row in the FDR and rollout charts.

I noticed the T3 setup book doesn't cover the new setting features on the car. Just curious if it will be changed at all?

I notice that the 'slide show' for the T3 mentions that more steering lock is available.
Do the team drivers tend to use full lock or limit it under normal conditions?

When would you change it?

Thanks
Skiddins

In my rubber tire asphalt applications I tend to run full lock or very close to it and tune with other adjustments.

On carpet with foam tires... or sometimes even with rubber tires if there is a lot of grip I will turn down my steering end points to calm the car down... but that's not generally my first changes.
