Here's my question, I have an older XT8 (original chassis, not the longer one) and I know that the standard line of MBX5T bodies will fit (with some mods here and there), but what about the BUlldog line of bodies? I kinda like the cab forward design, but I'm wary about getting one until I know how it will fit a bit more. I'd appreciate it.

proline bulldog body rc8t to fit the 09 spec xt8 dunno about older one but this is what i did

Front: stays as is no changes needed... just as long as you havent cut down your body post as you will need to mount the body on the higher holes.

Rear: Little harder, remove the body posts off the shock tower, you will need to lower the mounts, to do this you will need to drill new holes. Getting the height right you will need to mount the front of the body while holding the rear up with your hand, get the rear bed of the body as flat as possible, having the rear a little higher than the front is ok too. Once happy with the height mark the rear tower to redrill the holes and your done.

The 6t body will fit the old xt8 you will just have to cut some extra length off the back and leave some extra on the bottom of the sides till you get it mounted to see how high the sides need to be cut DO NOT USE the rc8t body it will be too wide

This is the Pro=line Bulldog for the MBX6T, it fits snug, just a lil tight on the sides, the mud guards wear the bottom of the body some, the paint isn't the best, a friend is working on how to spray fascolor versus a lacuer paint, so it wasn't completely dried, which might hurt the paint. as for modding and hole placement, it was kinda easy, I was already tearing the truggy down for a rebuild, so I decided to swap the front and rear posts, getting the hole speeperation right was my main goal and getting it level. I used the predrilled holes on the front as a template for the rear post, just got it about right by eye and guesstimating, it was a pretty big change on the rear, about one and a quarter inches, the front was not as drastic, top post hole was just below the lower post hole. using the shock towers as the template for the holes worked great.

I like the way it looks, I could't stand the look of the body at first, but it has grown on me and there is a noticeable difference in the way it handles now, more high speed steering, and it seems lighter in the rear, so you can flick it into turns more easily. Jumps the same, perfect as it did with the crowd pleazer body I was using.

Looks like ROAR will ban them though, at the big events.

It won't be long before ROAR themselves are banned from big events. They have been digging their own grave for a while now.

Looks good, I don't think I've ever seen anyone run their rear shocks that far in on this truck. How did that affect the handling?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but on the Pro-line Bulldog body... Is it the MBX6T version that fits the XT8? Also, I think I read somewhere that the Crowd PLeazer for the Jammin fits well too. Thanks!

rich they all fit really..for the new bulldog bodies either an RC8T or a Mugen MBX6T body will work. with the crowd pleazers the jammin and the mugen bodies fit the best.

Did xray still not come out with a new body for this thing yet? Awesome truck minus a few drawbacks, but still no body? :?

No changes for 2011 and I'm fine with that. My XT8 is dialed
