Hi guys, I've got some issue on setting the downstop on my XB8 '15
if I follow the setup book, it says to leave shocks and anti-roll bars attached, but I cannot even get the -5 rear and -2 front, arms are not going down, checked the shock length and they are as per manual,
If I remove the shocks I can get down to "the floor" but still the anti-roll bars give some asymmetric issue
If I remove the anti-roll bars as well I can easily set the proper downstop, but after connecting anti-roll bars and shock one side is lower then the other.

any suggestion on how to proper set the downstop please? length of shock etc?

Thanks
Antonio

Something is bound up. Clean the car, loosen the pivot balls, check for shock rubbing on arm etc. etc. Bent hinge pin maybe.

Clean and reset the sway bars.

Hi thanks for the reply
Car has been washed and cleaned to the screws, arms have been changed, pins are ok, all is fine, shocks done 100% rebound but still I can get it right :(
moreover I can't get to -5 downstops, shocks at full length are still "short"

Ah, go ahead and unscrew the shock eyelet a couple turns.

I was able to replicate the exact problem. With my front shocks out on the towers, and out on the arms, I couldn't get down to -1 with one of my arms. So I loosened that shock eyelet up a turn.
