How thick oil do you use with 4-hole pistons on XT8? I do wanna use both dark blue and light blue springs. Which are good combinations for both springs?

Front:
spring - hole size - oil

Back:
spring - hole size - oil

I like to stick with stock setup as much as I can and then make little changes to suit the track and my driving style. Our tracks are flat with some jumps, the European style.

on the front i run
4 1.4mm holes with dark blue springs an 700wt shock oil
an on the rear i run
4 1.4mm holes wit dark blue springs with 600wt shock oil
and i find that covers me for all the tracks in the Uk flat and bumpy tracks

Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has? I was just wondering if it would be possible or even feasable.

Thanks

Hi people,

I need help from anyone's expertise or expiriences.

My original XT8 body shell is broken quite badly....... I need new body replacement. I choose Proline bodies because my LHS is selling Proline body only. I think is fine.... coz the proline body is thicker too than xray.

Apparently Protoform only make 1 body : Crowd Pleazer 2.0, with 4 customization :

1. especially made for Kyosho ST-RR,
2. especially made for Mugen MBX5-T
3. especially made for Jammin XC1 - CRT
4. especially made for Losi Eight T

Which one of the above is also suitable for XT8 ?

Thank you people !!!

I appreciate your advise & expertise.

Get the Proline Mugen body and it will work as well as the jconcepts crt v2 body..both fit on the xt8 good

anyone have a cheaper souce for XT8 CVD´s?

we hae two XT8 here and all 6 CVD´s looks bad. unvortunatly Xray dont offer a rebuild kit or cheap replacement. so all 6 costs about 200$(120€) thats nearly a total wreckage...

will any other cvd fit???

What do you mean with "bad"? Are they worn or bent?
All parts are available separately for servicing, see http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/produc ... ansmission

I hope Xray NEVER offers a cheap replacement.

Will the rebuild parts availible fix the CVD's?,,,or are all 6 unusable/trash?

Guys, I need more steering. It almost feels that there is a mechanical mod to made rather than setup. Especially on-power.

Has anyone found shock end links from any manufacturer that are longer to put on the 808 big bores to truly give the XT8 full droop?

I thought I had read about it before but now can't seem to find anything about it.

I got two things to extend it to a suitable droop although you won't get the full max droop setting.

1. Losi rear shock extenders: they come as a pair from a package of rear 8T arms.

2. Jammin CRT shock ends: the give you an extra 2.5mm in length.

Yes, I've installed the losi arm part. The CRT shock end is what I was after, thanks.

I've been looking to get a quick change motor mount for my XT8, but I'm not sure which parts are interchangeable with the XB8. I know that King Headz sells a quick change mout setup, but it doesnt list it as being compatible with the XT8, does anyone know if it is? I'm getting REALLY tired of resetting te gear mesh everytime I do some clutch work.

The XT8 would use the same mount as the XB8/XB8EC/XB8TQ ....not the XB808
