yeah it fits but you've just fitted a heavy component out from the centreline of the car
this will effectively change your moment of inertia (posh words for altering your centre of gravity)!
the car was designed to have the battery pack right in the centre of the car to keep the weight in the middle!

i'm not sure how long a 600mah cell would last using digital servos as they use more current than conventional servos.
but i have used NiMh packs on both my MBX5 & K2 with Futaba digis with no problems at all
plus a good thing about a NiCad is although for the same size cells it has less capacity but it is also a lot lighter & has the added benefit of you being able to just Nuke it on a fast charge between races without worrying about temps like you have to with NiMhs

Showtime,...do you or does anyone know why Futaba prefers NiCD for their servos in the first place. I know you have had success, but with my luck I'll fry that s9351,... :?: Plus like you said there's so many Nimh options.

sorry Dude
i've never heard that before i read it in your post the other day :?:

maybe its for the safety of a nicad pack giving noticably slower servo response before it go's totally flat rather than a NiMh that will just dump all of a sudden & losing your radio?? Dunno!

OK - I just got off the phone with Futaba Tech. Support because I needed a solid answer on why Futaba recommends NiCD's with their Digital Servo's.

Seeing as I have a S9350 & S9351 I would hate to throw away the included NiMH pack from XRAY.

Tech support explained that it has something to do with the way the servo gets the voltage, that it's not harmful, and that he uses NiMH with his Futaba Servo's as well (same as Showtime) I just needed a difinitive answer.

Hope this info is usefull to anyone with Futaba Digitals'
