Got my car nearly finished - fitted an engine last night with a jp-4 on it and it's not exactly a great fit in the side guard. Any tips on improving fit? Don't want to start hacking the side guard to the degree it looks like I might need to!

My son wanted to help....

look at changing the header they are fairly wide with the jp range

i have used a losi nitrotec header brought it in to the right distance i needed

mugen drivers use extremely short headers also not sure what brand will have a look around tomorrow

cheers mate - I've heard there's a Novarossi manifold that's sold on its own that's particularly tight bend. Not sure how available it is in the UK though.

I've fitted a Go pipe for now as it's a much better fit

try a shorter header or an O.S 2090....but check your brake pads...looks like you got one pad arse about from looking at your photos.

Cheers, Ian

Novarossi 41029 short and 41030 long are made for the Mugen The XB9 also benefits from these headers....

Yup, the NR short compact header is what you're after.
