I saw it in my manual, I was curious if this was in addition to anything in te manual.

thanks

No addition, just many people have found using the 0.2 shim to tighten the mesh gives a good mesh.

I used only 0,1 on the rear and fron and it's perfect mesh for me

Yes, 0.2 shim seems right. still brand new , after couple of running should be good.

Use the 4 screw with the alu washer that came with the EC on the 808. You can more control over the small adjustments for gear mashing.

What happened on the rear camber links being so far out of wack? The supplemental set up sheet has you moving the rear camber length in from 46mm to 37.5mm?

Guys if I do not use these shim for my diff they seem fine when I was building the kit and I have use the shim. What would happen after a bit the gear will wear down and start to slip if the Shim are not in place??

You should be fine Hulkray, but getting the mesh correct will help prevent premature wear to the gears. If your mesh is too loose you risk stripping gears, and if it's too tight it'll wear them out quick. Most people are finding the 0.2mm shim works best. If it feels a tiny bit tight when you first install everything (when it's new) by the time you've greased up the gears and run it in i'll be good. I've yet to run my car on the track but have just run an engine in in the car, and the drive train now feels VERY smooth. Can't wait to hit the track this weekend!

Just for you ricky, a few more pics of the completed build. You may notice a slight similarity between the paint schemes (sorry dude, just could resist the combo).

The throttle/ brake linkage setup.
Image

You can't see in this blurry photo, but I've used one of the 1mm shims included in the kit underneath the servo horn, to lower the front brake linkage slightly.
Image

I've decided to run a filter.
Image

It's taken them 4 years, but at last the inner filter element is WHITE! Still looks nice and grey on the outside, but you can clearly see when it gets dirty.
Image

The completed chassis. I've run my fuel tubing as I have on my XT8. Haven't checked capacity yet, but I suspect it'll be near 125.
Image

Image

The new shell is real nice. Looks good and is well designed. I've noticed a slight mark appearing from the throttle/ brake linkage hitting the inside, and the sides are very low so the shell touches the pressure nipple outlet on the pipe. No biggie though.
Image

The 808 and my XT8 (in need of a clean!).
Image

Overall a seriously nice, straight forward build. Can't wait to hit the track and see what it's capable of.
