You got to love customs. Where I work has had some issues with customs releasing equipment we have ordered overseas.

RC America is just as frustrated as our customers! The size of our shipment was much greater than any previous orders, and resulted in some new procedures at customs. The textile products require documentation from the point of origin before they can enter the country. This documentation was not available to RC America or XRAY/HUDY. In an attempt to accelerate the process, the container has been transferred to a holding warehouse for the textile products to be removed and the shipment can proceed to RC America.

Please visit the RC America website to view a letter from the company president regarding the current situation. RC America encourages our customers to contact us directly with any feedback or questions you may have. We appreciate everyone's patience with this matter.

so do you have a definite date when the shipment will come and do you know the turn around time on the shipment?

Read the letter. Its 7 to 10 days away from being released because of paper work issues.

As the letter states, there are promotions that will be going on so stay tuned.

Once they have their shipment its going to take time to sort things out but as they promiss, after this short-term pain, there should be no more product pipeline issues

Yeah it's getting pretty ridiculous with all the delays with customs, but it has to be done. I have been waiting for a new fk for a couple months now. I usually like to buy a new kit every month and a half or so but haven't been able to.

Our shipment was transferred last week to the holding facility, and customs started sorting through the container. After speaking with personnel in Houston on Monday, RC America was told that it could be a multi-day process. Customs estimated the shipment will be available at the end of this week. The process of searching for the textiles required the entire ocean container be emptied at the customs facilities, and as a result, we will not need to arrange for the actual container to be forwarded to us. Instead, the shipment will be delivered to us using one of our trucks, eliminating any more unforeseen delays. We hope to have the shipment delivered by the weekend, so we can use that time to receive the product into our inventory, and allow us to start next week ready to ship. As the status changes, we will try to keep everyone informed. As was stated before, RC America encourages our customers to contact us directly with any questions or comments.

We understand the frustration with this delay. RC America has been doing everything possible, with the help of XRAY/HUDY, to resolve this issue and improve our process to avoid future shipment issues. We appreciate those who have waited patiently through these delays, and we hope that those of you who have been unable or unwilling to wait will give RC America a chance to serve you in the future.

Why would they give free parts? Just becuase we've had to wait on something they can't control.

rc america, thanks for the update.

i know its something beyond their control but like booyah said they supposedly shipped it incorrectly and i think a top notch company like xray would give top notch customer service and PR to match the parts quality. maybe give waiting customers a free t-shirt or something. i know if they did this even after the wait id consider xray first for any future car i would get.

I thought T-Shirts were what got them in hot water in the first place - d'oh!

Seriously, it must really hurt the company a bit, but like everyone says, it has to be done...

Hang in there - what other company makes a car as nice as the T1 Factory Kit? No one. I sold my 415 (for other reasons), and would wait a reasonable amount of time to get another car. I do feel your pain.

Hang in there,

Dave

C'mon guys,

It's not like we are waiting for a kidney transplant here!

What possible business reason would Xray, or RC America for that matter, have to gain by this process taking any longer than necessary? They're in the business of selling parts and kits. Everyone makes it sound like there is some alterior motive or plot to hold out on it's customers.

They're building the XRAY Millenium RC Factory here in the states and have lined up RC America for distribution - once these things happen, we should never wait for parts. I could see people complaining if there wasn't evidence of ernest effort here, but c'mon, a giant factory and test facility unlike anything witnessed anywhere? That should demonstrate effort and an honest committment to customers - no?

I mean, if waiting for a kit or part is the worst thing that happens to you as you go about your day, consider yourself lucky - there are folks waiting for hearts and kidneys.

No, I don't work for Xray, own stock in Xray, nor are these the opionions of anyone but myself. Just a guy who tries to be competitive on Sunday and have fun at the same time. Try to do the same.
