Im just the type to find a solution with what I have available to me. I am not a waiter. I sat and looked at my XT8-09 from July until late October before I got it to the track. Couldn't stand it any longer.
Im liking the lid for the CRT. I am also told the JConcepts lid for the Mugen Truggy is supposed to fit well using the stock mounts.
Bottom line is that the stock lid "will work" if we take our time in measuring for the holes. And, conversely, wouldn't it make sense for the company to make them not last very long? The whole part of profitability in this hobby is parts replacement. When they make all the important items as fantastically durable as they do, the lid seems to be among those parts with a high profit margin and more frequent replacement. Just sayin. But reality and common sense dictate that I use something a little more durable and a LOT less expensive.
The jconcepts illuzion or the punisher body? Cuz I believe the mugen illuzion is the same as the xt8 version. I dunno about the punisher body tho. I just like the idea of the bulldog body and the supposed handling characteristics it has.
Believe me Im no waiter either, Thats why Im going through this to see what works. Ive had the stock lid, the jconcepts which I trashed, and now Im trying the bulldog. BTW...Id never be able to just stare at my xt8 all summer and not run it lol. I dunno how you did that
