 Post subject: Boiling Parts?

Do you think boilng suspensions arms will make them more flexible during impacts? i thought I read this somewhere.

That's the old school method. With the older Associated and HPI you had to do that, or you would break arms. Try it, ya never know. Let the water boil for a minute, then drop the parts in. Use a big pot, you don't want them to sink. Let them sit for 5 min and pull them out.

no these parts are not made like the old school nylon parts buy TL or associated.. the new parts are made of difrent materials.. boiling them in the older days was to DYE them a difrent color and to harden them...

I have been told to boil the plastic arms on my M18T pro to increase strength. It might just be a rumour, but can somebody please clarify this?

Not a rumour. I've done it and it seems to have added some flex. Also haven't broken since (less play time with it this year though).Try one only and compare the flex.
