which premounted tires are the best for xt8 on super hard track that goes from dusty to well watered ?

my stock rims are rubbing on the ties rods a touch.

I use Proline LPR Crimefighters standard offset. I also have the King Headz 5mm hub extenders. This is my tyre of choice. :D

I ran Proline Crimefighter LPRs on an exactly same track surface, worked fine. Holeshot LRRs are 20g lighter per wheel, had maybe the same traction, but basically the same lap times / heat times. You'll probably have quite a lot of tire wear if you run your car hard with much on-power steering. Get two sets if you'll be running more than once on that track. Bow-Ties seem to work very fine also, overall probably the most popular Proline tire at the moment imho.

Get no-offset wheels and +5mm or +6mm wheel hexes this way you should end up with stock width. DACE offset hexes are told to be best, but expensive. I got Integy ones, they were in stock and very cheap, but had to dremel them a bit to fit and Integy isn't highest quality also. Xray has their own +5 hexes out - get them if you find them in stock.

When you take LPR tires (Proline LPRs or GRP has all truggy wheels LPR I think) they should not rub steering link anymore. But you should still do this mod:

Dusty to well watered conditions?? I ran into this same condition last summer

and a set of the Xray +5 hexes, (you'll need them for the wheel to clear).

Hey Ben, I use the bow-tie lpr premounts and the kingheads +5mm hubs or as Keith mentioned the Xray +5mm hubs. They ran great at the Barn and I'm sure they'll do fine at Wolcott as well.

I bought 10 full sets of various proline premounts and they all come unglued on my truck. I don't have this problem on my buggy.

I noticed the pre mounts are only glued in the lip and not on the bead. I guess being lower profile puts a lot of pressure on the side wall.

So I'm going back to gluing my truggy tires and using standard panther foams to save weight and get a better balanced wheel.

I have used the GRP tires yet so I will buy some. These are now branded as Losi, is that correct. Are they the exact same tires with different names or different treads per manufacturer?

AKA tires are high on my list. I'm sure these will be number 1 shortly. The tread looks great.

Does anyone know of a grass tyre in a premount, looking for a tread pattern like proline mulchers?
